Last Week to Bring Folders for Backpack 2 School Program

We have so many folders at the church! Ever since we announced our participation in this years community-wide Backpack 2 School program, the members of FBC have responded well. While we have received many folders, we still need many more! First Baptist has been tasked with providing 4,000 two pocket folders with brads. That is four folders for every student.
These folders can be purchased in local markets as low as 17¢ each. In total, providing enough folders for this program would cost First Baptist members $680.00 plus tax. If you would like to help provide colored folders with brads you may drop them off at the church office during office hours. Thursday will be the last day to drop off any remaining folders at the church office. If you have folders to donate on Friday, please take them to Westridge Church of Christ on Friday morning.
This Friday and Saturday will be workdays at Westridge Church of Christ. Starting at 8:00am Friday August 7th, community members will gather to help setup the church and the backpacks for the coming crowd on the following day. At 7:00am Saturday August 8th, workers will arrive and prepare the church to be open for the public. Parents and students will come from all over Randolph County to receive much needed school supplies. Please consider working on either of these two days. Contact Bro. Chase Crawford for more information.
